SKALVCO began long before it had a name.
We were raised around humble beginnings, working on market stalls from a young age. We spent years surrounded by objects people could pick up, turn over, question and choose for themselves.
Eventually, we began setting up stalls of our own, selecting and creating products, speaking directly with customers and learning what made someone stop, take an interest and decide that a piece belonged with them.
That experience shaped how we see jewellery.
The value was rarely in how loudly something presented itself. It was in the material, the detail and what the object quietly held.
Our interest increasingly centred on natural stone: the weight, the variation, the surface and the fact that no two pieces form exactly the same. That became the starting point for SKALVCO.
Less is more to us.
The design stays restrained because the material should do most of the work. Simple forms, limited branding, natural stone and enough space for every piece to feel considered.
Affordability matters too. Jewellery should not have to feel unreachable to be well made, meaningful or worth wearing every day.
Each SKALVCO piece is selected for its material, design and ability to become part of how someone dresses and carries themselves. We work with partners chosen for product quality, transparency and responsible production standards.
From growing up around market stalls, to running our own, and now bringing the collection online, the principle remains the same:
The simplest objects often carry the most weight.
